Is it possible to beat Ch. 2?

This game is honestly pretty good. However I went to purchase hints multiple times after learning a new iTunes card, and it said purchase successful with the pop up underneath it saying purchase failed. I was still charged, and did not receive any hints at all. I cannot get past chapter 2 at all. I get to the part with the door, I click the not now, and before I could even find where the green liquid is the car explodes. Someone please help!
